BioConsortia is seeking an experienced manufacturing manager to join its team in Davis, California. This position will be responsible for managing and coordinating production, logistics and delivery of microbial products for agricultural application. The successful candidate will work closely with the Company’s Process Development team, as well as external partners and tollers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing manufacturing operations of a biotechnology manufacturing facility to meet planned production targets with allocated resources
- Managing the entire range of manufacturing activities, including scheduling, resource planning, inventory management, partner coordination, logistics, production, quality control and assurance, warehousing and delivery of microbial products
- Developing process SOPs, MBRs, and other documentation for equipment and procedures used in microbial product manufacturing
- Support internal and external technology transfers and engage CMOs
- Review validation documents to support manufacturing processes
- Manage manufacturing resources, production schedules and budget
- Critically analyze manufacturing data
- Prepare reports and present results to management and other team members
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
- Masters degree in Biotechnology, Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, Manufacturing Sciences or other related field required or experience in relevant discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant production management experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology or a related industry
- Experience with microbial fermentation scale up to pilot scale and manufacturing preferred
- Strong communication and organization skills
- High level of competence in the supervision of technical staff and implementation of safety requirements and skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Must be permanently authorized to work in the USA
