Temporary Greenhouse Technician (US)

BioConsortia is seeking to hire two (2) technicians to assist in greenhouse-based evaluations of leads derived from BioConsortia's accelerated microbial selection platform. The positions will be based out of the Company’s laboratories in Davis, CA.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the Plant Physiology functional group
  • Assist in experimental set up
    • Preparation of growth substrate / pot filling / sowing seeds
  • Assist in collection of a range of data describing plant performance

The ability to work within a hot (up to 90 F) and humid greenhouse environment is essential. While research experience collecting plant data is not required, the ability to work accurately and efficiently for long periods of time is essential. Training necessary to perform data collection will be provided. Candidates must be able to lift 25lbs.

This is a full-time position for FOUR TO FIVE WEEKS commencing March 1 2017. 

No relocation.
